What legal and financial checks do you run?
Every contractor must hold a valid alvará from IMPIC, the Portuguese construction licensing body, along with proper CAE registration and a clean tax and social security record. We also confirm they carry civil liability insurance with proof of coverage limits, and check that the company is not in insolvency or carrying significant registered debt.
